Burning Bush Family, March 17, 2020

As you know President Trump has asked all Americans to limit their gatherings to ten or less.  We want to respect his request and beginning today we are suspending all services and events through April 4.

At that time, we will re-evaluate, considering whatever directives have been given from local, state and national officials.  Please remember in the meantime the campus will be closed for all activities.

The Positive:

I told my wife last night; this is the first time (except for vacations) that I can remember in my adult life that I do not have anything to do any evening this week.  There was always Wednesday night church, children’s ball games, meetings, practices, etc.  This week the evenings are completely empty.

Like me, we realize most of you are probably finding yourself with unexpected free time.  We urge you to take advantage of this time to pour into your families.  It’s a great time to deepen those relationships.  Dust off the board games, learn how to play those video games that your children are so proficient at, build a blanket fort with your children, have a sock war, undertake a dad/child project or a mom/child project, take those walks that you never can seem to find time for, eat meals together, read that book that has been gathering dust for a year, cook that recipe you have been wanting to try and a hundred other things that are on your wish list.  On a positive note, this could be God’s way of slowing us down.

Let’s remember in this time to be the Church.  Uncertainty abounds and with that great opportunities for faith conversations.  Let’s love and serve those who don’t have what we have in Christ.

The staff and I are ready to serve you. If you need us, please don’t hesitate to call.

Love you guys,

Pastor Dennis
